Job description

(Hyrbid) My client is seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Cyber Security to lead and scale their cybersecurity program across the U.S. In this highly visible role, you’ll drive strategy, lead operational initiatives, and work cross-functionally with executive leadership to ensure enterprise-wide security resilience.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Designing, owning, and executing the end-to-end cybersecurity strategy aligned with U.S. federal, state, and industry compliance frameworks (NIST, CISA, CMMC, ISO27001).

  • Building and mentoring a high-performing security team across GRC, SOC, incident response, and engineering.

  • Leading threat intelligence, risk management, security architecture, and vulnerability management functions.

  • Working directly with legal, compliance, risk, product, and engineering teams to embed security-by-design practices.

  • Overseeing internal audits, external assessments, and regulatory reporting.

  • Presenting security posture and risk narratives to C-level executives and board members.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 10 years in cybersecurity with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or Head/Director-level role.

  • Deep understanding of U.S. cybersecurity laws, data protection regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CCPA, SOX, etc.), and incident response best practices.

  • Hands-on experience across both enterprise security and cloud-native environments (AWS or Azure).

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA preferred.

Why Join?

  • Join a mission-driven organization where security is a priority, not an afterthought.

  • Lead security in a high-growth, high-impact environment with real autonomy.

  • Work with a forward-thinking executive team that backs innovation, diversity, and investment in top-tier talent.

  • Competitive base + bonus + equity + benefits.
