ESG Manager

Location: Sharjah, UAE (Candidates residing in Dubai are preferred, with a 30-60 minute commute, opposite traffic)
Work Schedule: On-site, 4.5 days per week

The Opportunity:
We are working with a leading financial institution in the UAE to find a talented Financial Analyst who brings a solid accounting background coupled with a strong understanding of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting. This role offers a balance of traditional financial responsibilities alongside ESG-focused work, making it ideal for someone passionate about numbers and sustainability.

Role Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will divide their focus as follows:

• Financial Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and analyses.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.
• ESG Reporting & Integration
• Track, analyse, and report on ESG-related KPIs to support the organisation’s sustainability objectives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to embed ESG factors into financial strategies.
• Collaboration with Senior Leadership
• Partner closely with senior management, primarily based in Dubai, to provide insights that drive decision-making.
• Act as a key resource for ESG metrics and financial data analysis.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Skills and Experience:
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Experience with ESG accounting or reporting is essential, though expertise is not required – a solid understanding will suffice.
• Arabic proficiency at a conversational level (2.5/5).
• Location and Market Understanding:
• Knowledge of the UAE or GCC financial markets is highly desirable.
• Ideally living in Dubai with the ability to commute to Sharjah within 30-60 minutes (opposite traffic).
• Preferred Attributes:
• Prior experience in consultancy or financial services.
• Strong communication skills, particularly when interacting with senior stakeholders.
