Development Associate / Manager

Vallum Associates are partnered with a well-established and fast-growing national clean energy company who is seeking a Development Associate or Manager to support the development of distributed solar and storage projects across the U.S. (In office in Connecticut)

About the Role:

In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally with internal teams to move projects from early-stage development through execution. You'll lead efforts related to interconnection, permitting, real estate, and environmental reviews. This is a fast-paced environment requiring strong project management, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project development activities including interconnection, site control, permitting, and compliance.

• Collaborate with internal teams to assess project risk and guide strategy.

• Negotiate and support agreements related to land, utilities, and permitting.

• Monitor regulatory, utility, and market dynamics in assigned regions.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, law, or a related field.

• 4+ years of experience in renewable energy project development.

• Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills.

• Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
