Malvin founded Vallum Associates in 2015 off the back of his extensive knowledge and network within the Energy and Utilities industry.
This deep knowledge of the Energy industry has not only seen Malvin asked to recruit for some of the biggest industry names but has also seen him acting in an advisory capacity, helping define end-to-end solutions and approaches to transformation.
Malvin is a dynamic and driven leader with the ability to inspire and motivate his team and is a true believer in leading from the front. Malvin invests in building strong relationships with clients and candidates and works tirelessly with the rest of Vallum’s Board to ensure Vallum continues to exceed industry expectations.
Before stepping into recruitment, Malvin was a professional football player and this time spent in professional sport has ingrained a strong desire for perfection and a commitment to excellence that forms the backbone of Vallum Associates. In 2022, Malvin was appointed a board member for The London Youth Games, an incredible initiative which helps London Youths gain access to sports and get the positive life lessons that have helped him so much personally and professionally.
Michael brings a wealth of experience to his role as Chairman of Vallum Associates having spent 28+ years in Talent Acquisition working across the industry from growing small start-ups to sitting on the board of large talent firms.
Michael has dedicated his recruitment career to Banking and Financial Services, identifying and securing the best talent for his global clients, ranging from large multinational banks to boutique financial institutions in the UK, North America and APAC.
Specialising in Exec Searches, Michael’s experience spans the Banking and Financial Services industry including Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Hedge Funds, Asset Management and Trading Firms.
Within the industry, Michael is known for his work towards promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace. As Co-Founder of the Centre of Inclusive Leadership Michael is dedicated to identifying and placing the best senior leaders from under-represented minority groups for some of the world’s leading Investment Banks and Professional Services firms.
Kim has 20+ years of experience in recruitment having spent the good part of 11 years specialising in working with individuals within Prime Services, Risk Management and Hedge Funds. He has spent the latter part of 10+ years working with clients to help them with their IT and Change Management programmes.
Kim has extensive experience within the UK, Europe, North American and Pan-Asian markets.
Phil joined Vallum with over 20 years’ experience within Financial and Commercial Business, with a focus on recruitment and staffing.
Phil has earned a comprehensive knowledge of the market stemming from his experiences across the board; from working with entrepreneurs at rapidly growing start-ups, large-scale companies both within the UK and American markets, and via his own consultancy business.

Paul is a seasoned recruitment leader with a noteworthy history of successfully acquiring specialised IT talent for various clients on a global scale, spanning the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.
Possessing two decades of hands-on leadership experience, Paul has contributed his expertise to renowned recruitment entities such as Modis (the Adecco Group) and specialized IT agencies.
Notably, he also established his own business, where he played a pivotal role in expanding it to include 30 fee-earning consultants. Paul’s extensive qualifications and proficiency underscore his effectiveness in navigating the dynamic field of recruitment.

With over 10 years of experience specialised in Technology and R2R Recruitment, progressing from Consultant to Director level, Matthew has mastered his craft at all levels.
He now plies his trade heading up Learning & Development, where he will develop and support the future top billers and leaders of Vallum Associates.
