Vallum Associates are working with a global renewable energy developer seeking a REMOTE Sr. Manager/Director of Power Marketing & Origination.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategies to maximize project revenue through power offtake agreements, tailoring structures for individual projects.

• Conduct market research to analyze power pricing trends in various ISO and non-ISO markets, serving as the in-house expert on power markets.

• Identify and pursue power offtake leads through prospecting and networking, including RFPs and bilateral PPAs.

• Advise on suitable offtake structures for projects, including physical PPAs, virtual PPAs, and capacity contracts.

• Lead contract negotiations from origination to execution, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

• Collaborate with financial modeling teams to assess offtake proposals for project models.

• Work with consultants to analyze pricing forecasts and market conditions.

• Support the preparation of RFP responses and internal coordination for offtake proposals.

• Evaluate market trends to shape entry strategies and support project acquisition assessments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred).

• Strong network with PPA buyers (e.g., CCAs, corporates, IOUs).

• In-depth understanding of U.S. power markets and offtake structures.

• Proficiency in Excel-based financial modeling.
