​Lead Transmission Line Engineer (Remote)

Vallum Associates are working with a Fortune 500 Engineering Consultancy seeking a Lead Transmission Line Engineer to oversee a dynamic team and manage complex transmission line design projects (34.5 kV – 500 kV) for major utilities. This role involves applying industry standards (NESC, ASCE, ACI, NEC), leading engineering analyses, PLS-CADD modeling, and overseeing project execution from planning to construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers on transmission line design (overhead & underground).

• Manage multiple projects, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline adherence.

• Develop proposals, define project scope, and support business development.

• Drive process improvements and foster team collaboration.

• Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s

  in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (Civil preferred).

• 10+ years

  of experience in transmission line design (8+ years with a Master's).

• Proficiency in

  PLS-CADD & PLS-POLE; knowledge of TOWER, LPILE, AutoCAD is a plus.

• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.

• PE or EIT certification

  preferred.
