HVAC Commissioning Engineer - Greater London and Surrounding Area - Vallum associates
One of the leading companies in water treatment and air hygiene is seeking a self-driven HVAC Commissioning Engineer to become part of their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be tasked with commissioning HVAC systems across various commercial, industrial, and residential projects. You will be instrumental in ensuring that HVAC systems are correctly installed, tested, and fully operational, in line with client specifications, health and safety regulations, and industry standards.

Main HVAC Commissioning Engineer Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors during installation and commissioning.
Conduct system checks, troubleshoot, and resolve issues on-site.
Commission, test, and balance HVAC systems per design and project requirements.
Adjust HVAC system settings for optimal performance and efficiency.
Perform air and water balancing, adjusting dampers, valves, and air handling units.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and regulations during testing and commissioning.
Provide technical support to clients and team members.
Prepare detailed reports on commissioning activities, including test results.
Recommend improvements to enhance system performance and reduce energy use.
Maintain strong health and safety practices, ensuring legal compliance.
Requirements of a HVAC Commissioning Engineer:
Knowledge of industry standards, such as BSRIA, CIBSE, and regulations.
Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Full UK driving license and ability to travel to various sites as required.
Health and safety awareness with an ability to adhere to all safe working practices.
Solid understanding of HVAC systems, including chilled water, heating, ventilation, and ASHP/CHP systems.
Proven experience as an HVAC Commissioning Engineer.
Relevant qualifications such as CSA, NVQ Level 3 in HVAC, City & Guilds, or equivalent.
