Vallum Associates Sponsors UP Projects Bodies of Water, A creative response to the UK’s Urgent Environmental Challenges
At Vallum Associates, we are proud to sponsor Bodies of Water, a new public art programme by UP Projects, launching this summer across two key UK locations: A La Ronde in Exmouth and Haigh Hall in Wigan.
Bodies of Water brings together local communities, artists, and organisations to explore the environmental, cultural, and social significance of water. Through installations, performances, and participatory events, the programme invites people to reflect on how water connects us, to each other, to nature, and to both our history, and our future.
At the heart of the programme is artist Anne Duk Hee Jordan, whose sculptural installations anchor the project’s message. The sculptural installations don’t just make a visual impact, they actively respond to their surroundings by collecting, filtering, and circulating rainwater.
Who are UP Projects?
Founded in 2002, UP Projects works with artists to bring bold, engaging artworks to public spaces, from rivers and parks to heritage sites and urban centres, with a focus on collaboration and public engagement.
With Bodies of Water, they’re using creativity to spark conversations about how we live with, protect, and relate to our environment. It’s a powerful and thoughtful programme that reflects the values that Vallum believes in.
Why it resonated with us?
This project really struck a chord with us. At Vallum, connection and community are at the heart of what we do, not just in recruitment, but in how we choose to support the work around us.
We were especially drawn to UP Project’ commitment to inclusivity, accessibility, and storytelling. As a people-first, purpose-led company, we believe that art and culture should be open to all, and we’re proud to support a programme that encourages meaningful participation across different regions and backgrounds.
We’re also a company that operates globally, working across sectors that are vital to our shared future, from renewables and utilities to technology and engineering. The environmental themes at the centre of Bodies of Water feel especially timely and important, and we’re glad to play a small part in furthering that conversation.
