We are seeking a skilled Solar O&M (Operations & Maintenance) Field Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize utility-scale and commercial solar PV systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with central and string inverters, strong electrical knowledge, and the ability to diagnose and resolve system performance issues in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and corrective maintenance on solar PV systems, including inspections, testing, and repairs

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to central and string inverters, combiner boxes, transformers, and monitoring systems

  • Conduct system performance analysis and identify underperforming components

  • Execute preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal system uptime and efficiency

  • Perform electrical testing, including voltage, current, insulation resistance, and continuity checks

  • Interpret and work from low voltage (LV) and medium voltage (MV) plans, wiring diagrams, and control schematics

  • Utilize monitoring platforms (DAS/SCADA) to track system performance and respond to alarms

  • Document maintenance activities, findings, and corrective actions in service reports

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in solar O&M, electrical field service, or related industry

  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting central and string inverters

  • Must be fluent in Photovoltaic (PV) concepts, system characteristics, and electrical operational behavior

  • Proficient in reading and understanding:

  • Low-voltage and medium-voltage plans

  • Wiring and control diagrams

  • Equipment specifications and data sheets

  • Strong understanding of AC/DC electrical systems

  • Ability to use electrical testing equipment (multimeter, megger, clamp meter, etc.)

  • Willingness to travel to project sites and work in outdoor environments

  • Valid driver’s license
