​Overview

We are looking for a Senior Manager Development Engineering to lead front-end engineering for utility-scale solar and solar-plus-storage (BESS) projects across the U.S.

This role will oversee engineering activities from early-stage development through pre-construction, ensuring projects meet technical, permitting, interconnection, and financial requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering for utility-scale solar and BESS projects from development through pre-construction.

• Manage engineering consultants and collaborate with Development, Procurement, Construction, and other internal teams.

• Oversee PV system design, performance modeling, site design, and utility interconnection.

• Establish engineering standards, QA/QC processes, and design best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

• 5+ years of utility-scale solar or solar-plus-storage engineering experience.

• Strong knowledge of PV system design, site grading, hydrology, drainage, and structural design.

• Experience with PVSyst, PVCase, Helioscope, or similar performance modeling tools.

• Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, AHJ requirements, permitting, utility interconnection, and ISO/RTO markets (CAISO, ERCOT, PJM).

• Experience with BESS design, EPC contracting, engineering reviews, and managing external consultants.

• PE License (Civil or Electrical) is preferred.
