Job description

​A Senior Infrastructure Project/Program Manager with banking experience orchestrates high-stakes initiatives, such as regulatory compliance, technology upgrades, or product launches, by managing end-to-end lifecycles, budgets, and cross-functional teams. They bridge technical teams with business units, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and strategic goals, often requiring over 8 years of experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Delivery: Lead complex projects/programs, defining scope, roadmaps, and milestones to align with the bank’s goals.

  • Risk & Regulatory Compliance: Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring all projects meet internal policies, data security standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, Dodd-Frank, KYC).

  • Stakeholder Management: Regularly update executive leadership and steering committees on project progress, risks, and budgetary status.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate efforts between technology (IT), operations, product owners, and third-party vendors.

  • Project Governance: Enforce, or refine, project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).

  • Financial Oversight: Manage program budgets, vendor contracts, and cost control.

  • Change Management: Evaluate and implement change requests while minimizing disruption to business operations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Banking Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of banking products, capital markets, credit risk, or payment systems.

  • Experience: 8–15+ years in project/program management, specifically within financial institutions or fintech.

  • Technology Fluency: Experience implementing digital banking solutions, core banking upgrades, or data migration projects.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or IT (Master’s/MBA preferred).

  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) are typically required or highly preferred.

  • Tools: Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana)
