They manage the full lifecycle of delivery, including design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning support, and handover. You will be joining a contractor with strong data centre capability, a growing Nordic pipeline, and a delivery model built around technical control, speed, and repeatable quality.
About the Role
An opportunity for an experienced QAQC Lead to take overall ownership of quality delivery across a major hyperscale data centre project in Finland. This is a senior leadership role on a €1BN+ data centre programme, working within the core project leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the project quality management system, driving compliance, managing QAQC teams, and ensuring the project reaches a controlled, audit-ready handover. This is not a narrow inspection role. It is a full quality leadership position across construction, engineering, commissioning, client interface, subcontractor performance, documentation, and handover.
Responsibilities
QAQC Leadership and Strategy
Define, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan
Act as the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters
Drive a strong quality culture across internal teams, site teams, and subcontractors
Establish clear project quality standards, processes, and expectations
Ensure the quality strategy supports construction delivery, commissioning readiness, and final handover
Provide leadership, direction, and support to discipline QAQC teams
Team Leadership and Coordination
Lead and manage a multidisciplinary QAQC team
Set clear responsibilities, objectives, reporting lines, and performance expectations
Coordinate QAQC input across CSA, MEP, commissioning, engineering, and construction teams
Support and mentor QAQC engineers, inspectors, and discipline leads
Ensure QAQC resource levels are aligned with the project programme and inspection workload
Promote consistency in quality processes across all project areas
Quality Control and Compliance
Ensure works are delivered in line with project specifications, drawings, codes, and standards
Oversee inspection, testing, verification, and acceptance activities
Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans, quality procedures, method statements, and checklists
Monitor implementation of ITPs across all disciplines
Manage non-conformances, corrective actions, preventive actions, and close-out
Ensure subcontractors comply with project quality requirements
Track recurring quality issues and implement improvement measures
Construction Completion and Handover
Lead quality input into construction completion and handover processes
Support mechanical completion, functional completion, system walkdowns, and commissioning readiness
Ensure punch lists are properly managed, tracked, and closed out
Oversee turnover packages, as-built records, certification, inspection records, and test documentation
Ensure documentation is complete, traceable, and audit-ready
Work closely with commissioning teams to ensure systems are handed over correctly
Documentation, Reporting and Audit Readiness
Ensure robust document control and traceability of all quality records
Oversee inspection reports, test results, certification, material approvals, and quality registers
Produce regular quality reports for project leadership and client teams
Support internal audits, client audits, third-party inspections, and regulatory inspections
Maintain quality dashboards and key performance indicators
Ensure accurate records are available for final handover and project close-out
Stakeholder Interface
Act as the main QAQC interface with client quality representatives
Liaise with consultants, third-party inspectors, regulatory bodies, and subcontractors
Support factory acceptance tests and off-site quality inspections where required
Work closely with Construction, Commissioning, Engineering, Commercial, and HSE teams
Provide clear, confident communication on quality risks, trends, and required actions
