Job description

About the Company

I am working with a fast-growing international design & build contractor delivering large-scale data centre projects across Europe. With a newly established Dublin hub (mid-2024), the business is scaling a centralised team supporting multiple live projects across the Nordics and wider EU, covering quality, planning, HSE, and project delivery on €bn programmes.

About the Role

2x Positions; Quality Lead (Mechanical) & Quality Lead (Electrical)

This is a senior, portfolio-level Quality Lead position (Electrical or Mechanical), not tied to a single site. You will operate as part of a central function, overseeing QA/QC standards across multiple live data centre projects. Reporting into the Head of Quality, you will be responsible for setting governance, leading audits, driving NCR closeout, and ensuring consistent, audit-ready delivery across all projects. The role requires regular travel across European sites.

Responsibilities

  • Own QA governance across multiple projects (not site delivery)

  • Develop and implement audit programmes, standards, and quality frameworks

  • Conduct site audits and surveillance across active projects

  • Drive NCR closeout, ensuring actions are tracked and resolved effectively

  • Identify repeat issues and implement corrective/preventative actions

  • Support and challenge site QA/QC teams, package leads, and subcontractors

  • Ensure test packs and handover documentation are complete and audit-ready

  • Standardise best practice across projects (“what good looks like”)

  • Interface with commissioning teams and client QA where required

  • Electrical Focus (if applicable)

  • MV/LV distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators

  • Cable installation, terminations, testing and energisation readiness

  • QA documentation, FAT/SAT, and commissioning interfaces

  • Mechanical Focus (if applicable)

  • HVAC systems (CRAHs/AHUs), pipework, valves, pumps

  • Pressure testing, flushing, TAB and commissioning readiness

  • Plant installation quality and system performance validation

Qualifications

  • Strong QA/QC background within data centres or mission-critical environments

  • Experience operating across multiple projects or sites

  • Proven audit experience and ability to drive quality governance

  • Strong technical background (Electrical or Mechanical)

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive accountability

  • Comfortable in a client-facing, high-visibility role

  • EU passport required

Additional Information

  • Dublin-based (5 days in office)

  • Regular travel across EU projects (primarily Nordics)

  • Travel and project-related expenses fully covered
