About the Company

A leading international engineering and construction contractor is seeking an experienced QA/QC Mechanical Manager to join a major data centre project in Finland. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering mission-critical infrastructure, ensuring the highest quality standards across complex mechanical systems from installation through commissioning and handover.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all mechanical quality assurance and quality control activities across the project. Working closely with construction, commissioning, and client teams, you will ensure all mechanical systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and operational performance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and enforcement of the project Health & Safety management system

  • Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with local legislation, client requirements, and company standards

  • Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and observations

  • Identify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions, and support corrective and preventive actions

  • Participate in incident investigations and support root cause analysis

  • Support risk assessments, methods statements (RAMS), and permit-to-work processes

  • Deliver and support toolbox talks, safety inductions, and briefings

  • Work closely with site management, subcontractors, and the wider EHS team

  • Assist in maintaining accurate safety documentation and records

  • Promote a strong safety-first culture across the project

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field

  • Experience in a construction site safety role, preferably on large-scale or complex projects

  • Data centre, industrial, infrastructure, or mission-critical project experience is an advantage

  • Strong knowledge of construction safety legislation and best practices

  • Experience working with subcontractors and multi-disciplinary teams

  • Ability to communicate clearly and assertively at all levels

  • Structured, proactive, and hands-on approach to site safety

  • Fluent English required; Finnish language skills are an advantage
