The Opportunity

A unique opportunity for an experienced Senior Power & Gas Proprietary Trader to join a leading trading firm in Geneva. This is a pure risk-taking position, focused on developing and executing proprietary trading strategies in European power and gas markets. The role is suited for traders with a long-term approach, looking to capitalise on market inefficiencies through deep fundamental and quantitative analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute mid-to-long-term proprietary trading strategies in European power and gas markets.

• Take full ownership of trading positions, managing risk and optimising returns.

• Conduct in-depth fundamental, quantitative, and technical analysis to identify market inefficiencies.

• Manage exposure within defined risk parameters while ensuring capital efficiency.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with market participants, brokers, and trading counterparties.

• Ensure strict adherence to risk controls, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
