Job Title: Project Manager – Pharma / Life Sciences Consulting

Location: London, UK (Hybrid – 3 days/week)

Duration: 6Months+

550GBP/day Inside IR35

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support strategic and operational initiatives for a leading Pharma / Life Sciences client. The ideal candidate will have a strong consulting background and experience working with large pharmaceutical organisations, with the ability to manage complex projects, engage senior stakeholders, and drive successful delivery across cross-functional teams.

Candidates with prior consulting experience are highly preferred, as they have consistently been the most successful within the team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery within Pharma / Life Sciences environments.

  • Manage project plans, timelines, risks, budgets, and stakeholder communications.

  • Work closely with senior business and technical stakeholders across multiple functions.

  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and steering committee discussions.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.

  • Drive process improvements and support transformation initiatives.

  • Prepare project documentation, status reports, and executive presentations.

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with client expectations.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience working as a Project Manager within consulting environments.

  • Previous experience delivering projects for Pharma, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences clients.

  • Strong understanding of how large pharmaceutical organisations operate.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and “speak the language” of big pharma companies.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Experience managing multiple work streams and complex project environments.

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.

Preferred Background

  • Previous experience working for consulting firms or managing consulting-led engagements.

  • Experience supporting digital transformation, business change, regulatory, commercial, clinical, or operational projects within Life Sciences.

  • Familiarity with Pharma industry standards, processes, and compliance environments.
