​Project Executive — General Contractor

Sector: Data Centers / Mission Critical Construction

Location: Texas, with travel to assigned projects

Reports to: Vice President / Regional Operations Director

Position Overview

The Project Executive will lead the delivery of major data center projects, providing executive oversight from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout. The position carries responsibility for project financial performance, client relationships, delivery strategy, and the development of project leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish project objectives, staffing plans, budgets, and delivery strategies.

• Oversee Project Managers and field leadership, ensuring accountability for safety, quality, cost, and schedule.

• Manage senior client relationships and lead executive project reviews.

• Review financial forecasts, cash flow, change exposure, and projected profitability.

• Oversee contract administration, subcontract procurement, negotiations, and resolution of commercial issues.

• Support preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, procurement strategy, and project risk assessments.

• Monitor critical milestones, including equipment delivery, building completion, energization, commissioning, and turnover.

• Resolve escalated delivery issues and implement recovery plans with project teams.

• Support proposals, interviews, and business development opportunities.

• Mentor project leaders and develop succession plans.

Required Experience

• Typically 12–15+ years of commercial construction experience, including senior leadership within a general contractor.

• Demonstrated delivery of large, complex data center or mission critical projects.

• Experience overseeing multiple projects or a major campus development.

• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, financial management, procurement, and risk management.

• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and build lasting client relationships.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Experience

• Hyperscale or colocation data center construction.

• Guaranteed Maximum Price, design-build, or negotiated construction contracts.

• Experience developing repeat client relationships and supporting regional growth.
