​Lead Protection and Control Design Engineer - Transmission and Distribution

Location: Midlands (1x per month)

Package: £75-£90K + car and bonus

Responsibilities:

• Subordinate to the Protection and Control Engineer, create Single Line Diagrams and Main Control/Protection designs.

• Conceptual design of AC/DC schematics for contestable and private networks for 132/400Kv for electrical protection systems

• Developing a comprehensive secondary design that encompasses AC/DC, general arrangements, interconnection, and many block diagrams.

• Creation of Core Sheets, Termination Diagrams, and Cable Schedules

Essential criteria:

• 5 years experience of in Secondary design

• Experience with EHV substation projects up to 132-400Kv

• Experience with UK NGET and DNO

• Skilled secondary design schemes using AutoCAD for 132Kv, 275Kv, 400Kv

Desirable criteria:

• Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering

• Direct experience working for an ICP or DNO in the UK

• Familiarity with AutoCAD electrical work
