Operational Acceptance Test (OAT) Lead –
Key Responsibilities
Define and manage the Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) strategy, plan, scope, schedule, and entry/exit criteria aligned with program and Go-Live milestones.
Lead operational readiness validation by ensuring systems, business processes, monitoring, batch jobs, and operational workflows are production-ready.
Validate system stability, performance, availability, backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity to meet operational service levels.
Oversee end-to-end integration testing, production-like simulations, and validation of upstream, downstream, and third-party system interactions.
Ensure production-like test environments, realistic test data, and operational scenarios are available while maintaining data privacy and compliance.
Manage operational defects, risks, issue resolution, support readiness, and service transition activities, including runbooks, SOPs, and support handovers.
Provide OAT governance, reporting, readiness dashboards, and operational assurance to support Go/No-Go decisions and successful production deployment.
Requirements
10–15 years of experience in Testing, Quality Engineering, Service Readiness, or Operational Acceptance Testing, including 5+ years in OAT or service transition roles.
Strong experience in large-scale transformation programs with complex system integrations; Utilities or Energy domain experience is preferred.
Good understanding of end-to-end enterprise operations, operational workflows, batch processing, integration testing, and production support models.
Knowledge of ITIL processes, including incident, problem, change management, and operational service readiness.
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar test management tools, along with environment and test data management.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, vendor coordination, risk management, and Go-Live readiness planning skills.
ITIL and ISTQB certifications are preferred, along with excellent communication and governance capabilities.
