Mechanical Project Manager – Data Center Projects
Vallum are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead the full mechanical scope on our large-scale data center developments. In this role, you will ensure all mechanical systems are designed, installed, tested, and commissioned to meet project requirements, schedule milestones, quality expectations, and safety standards. You will manage subcontractors, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, resolve technical challenges, and support a seamless commissioning and handover process
What You’ll
DoAs Mechanical Project Manager, you will take ownership of the mechanical workstream from design through installation and commissioning. You will supervise subcontractors and site teams, ensure compliance with specifications and regulations, and maintain strong coordination with other disciplines. You will monitor progress, manage risks, and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the project lifecycle
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical system delivery — Oversee design, installation, testing, and commissioning of all mechanical systems
Subcontractor leadership — Manage and coordinate mechanical subcontractors and site teams
Quality & safety inspections — Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards
Technical issue resolution — Troubleshoot mechanical challenges during construction and commissioning
Regulatory compliance — Ensure adherence to local codes, regulations, and industry best practices
Progress & cost tracking — Monitor performance, schedule, and cost for the mechanical scope
Cross‑discipline coordination — Interface with electrical, civil, and other project teams
Commissioning support — Support testing, commissioning, and final handover activit
Who We’re Looking for
You are a skilled mechanical professional with strong experience delivering complex building or data center projects. You excel in fast‑paced environments, communicate clearly, and lead teams with confidence and precision.
Qualifications & Skills
Mechanical Engineering degree or related field
5+ years mechanical project management experience on large construction projects
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Familiarity with local building codes, safety standards, and regulations
Experience using project management and construction software
Strong leadership, coordination, and problem‑solving abilities
Fluent in English
