About the Opportunity

A leading international Data Centre contractor is seeking an experienced Handover & Construction Completion Lead to join a major hyperscale Data Centre development in Finland.

This position will be responsible for managing the overall completion, turnover, and handover process across a large-scale mission-critical project, ensuring a structured and efficient transition from construction through commissioning and final client acceptance.

Working closely with Construction, QA/QC, Commissioning, Commercial, Design, and Client teams, you will play a critical role in driving project completion, system readiness, documentation management, and operational handover.

Key Responsibilities

Handover & Completion Strategy

• Lead and implement the project-wide handover and completion strategy.

• Develop structured turnover processes aligned with project and client requirements.

• Define systemisation methodologies by system, area, building, or project phase.

• Establish clear completion milestones and handover schedules.

Construction & Commissioning Coordination

• Coordinate closely with Construction, QA/QC, Commissioning, and Project Management teams.

• Ensure systems are progressed through completion stages in line with programme requirements.

• Drive Mechanical Completion (MC) readiness and Commissioning handover activities.

• Monitor and manage system turnover between construction and commissioning teams.

Completion Management

• Oversee punch list management and close-out activities.

• Lead walkdowns, inspections, and completion reviews.

• Ensure all deficiencies are tracked, assigned, and closed within agreed timescales.

• Monitor project completion metrics and readiness status.

Documentation & Compliance

• Manage the compilation, review, and validation of project handover documentation, including:

• As-built drawings

• O&M Manuals

• Testing and commissioning records

• Compliance certificates

• Inspection records

• Quality documentation

• Ensure all documentation meets contractual and client requirements prior to handover.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary interface for handover and completion activities with client teams.

• Coordinate inspections, acceptance reviews, and turnover meetings.

• Present completion progress reports to senior project leadership and client stakeholders.

• Support phased and final project handovers.

Digital Completion Systems

• Manage and maintain digital completion and turnover platforms.

• Ensure accurate tracking of completion status, punch items, and documentation.

• Support reporting and dashboard development for project leadership teams.
  

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Services, Project Management, or related discipline.

• Minimum 8 years' experience within Construction, QA/QC, Commissioning, Project Delivery, or Completion Management roles.

• Proven experience managing project handover, turnover, systemisation, or completion processes.

• Strong understanding of MEP systems and mission-critical infrastructure.

• Experience coordinating Mechanical Completion (MC) and Commissioning readiness activities.

• Strong organisational and documentation management skills.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication capabilities.

• Ability to operate within complex, fast-paced project environments.

Preferred Experience

• Previous Data Centre or Mission Critical project experience.

• Experience on hyperscale developments.

• Knowledge of phased handover and systemisation methodologies.

• Familiarity with Microsoft, AWS, Google, or other hyperscale client standards.

• Experience with digital turnover systems such as WinPCS, Compass, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, or similar.

• Previous QA/QC or Commissioning background.

• Understanding of Level 1–5 Commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
