Job description
We are currently recruiting for a Customer Services specialist to join a growing business within the utilities sector.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong customer service skills who is looking to move into a more specialist industry, develop their knowledge and build a long-term career within energy and utilities.
You do not need previous utilities experience, as full training will be provided. What matters most is that you are confident speaking with customers, keen to learn and able to provide a professional, helpful service.
The Role:
As a Customer Services Advisor, you will be working as part of a busy customer services team, supporting customers with a range of enquiries over the phone and via email.
You will receive training across internal systems, customer processes and the wider utilities market, giving you the chance to build valuable sector knowledge and progress as your experience develops.
Duties will include:
Answering inbound customer calls
Making outbound calls to customers and potential customers
Responding to customer emails and following up by phone where needed
Handling front-line customer queries in a professional manner
Supporting customers through account and supply-related processes
Providing clear information around services, tariffs and customer accounts
Updating internal systems accurately
Using Excel to record and manage information
Working closely with the wider customer services team
The Person:
We are looking for someone who is confident, professional and customer-focused.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous customer service experience
A confident and friendly telephone manner
Strong communication skills
Good empathy and listening skills
Strong English and maths ability
Basic Excel skills
A positive, proactive attitude
The ability to learn new systems and processes
The confidence to speak clearly with customers
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
