Job description

About the Company

We are a leading European independent energy storage company focused on accelerating the energy transition. Headquartered in Western Europe with multiple offices across the continent, we develop and operate large-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) that enable efficient integration of renewable energy and support grid stability. Our mission is to deliver reliable, scalable energy storage solutions that contribute to Europe’s net-zero targets and a more resilient energy system.

Your Impact

As Contract Manager, you will be responsible for managing and safeguarding contractual interests across the construction and delivery of large-scale energy infrastructure projects (typically >100MW per project, with a multi-gigawatt pipeline).

Working closely with project delivery, legal, procurement, and finance teams, you ensure that contracts with suppliers, EPC contractors, and other partners are structured, executed, and monitored effectively to protect the company’s position and support successful project delivery across Europe.

What You Will Do

  • Lead contract management activities during the execution phase of large capital expenditure projects involving EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, and other third parties, using contract frameworks such as UAV-GC, FIDIC, and bespoke agreements

  • Monitor contractor and supplier performance against contractual obligations, proactively identifying and managing risks, claims, and disputes

  • Manage change orders, variations, and claims, ensuring timely resolution and accurate documentation

  • Advise project managers and wider project teams on contractual rights, obligations, and commercial risks

  • Collaborate closely with legal, finance, and procurement teams to align contract strategy with project and organisational objectives

  • Support continuous improvement of contract management processes, templates, and governance tools

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in contract management for complex construction or infrastructure projects, ideally within the energy or utilities sector

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in a dedicated contract management role

  • Strong expertise in construction contract frameworks, particularly UAV-GC and FIDIC

  • Experience in claims management, dispute resolution, and commercial negotiations

  • Degree (BSc or MSc) in Law, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills

  • Fluency in Dutch and English; German language skills are a plus

  • Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites across Europe
